Sometimes, when my time and attention is focused on other things, I can forget what a simple joy it is to be writing. This week, after spending several days mostly focused on marketing activities, I got back to devoting most of my time to writing and it was wonderful.

The words don’t always come easily, but simply engaging in the act of writing is a joy. Got to pick up the word count, which always takes a little while after I’ve been off the writing for a time, but I’m getting there.

I’m working on book two in my Alexander Templeman espionage series, but already I’ve been finding other ideas popping into my head, which is seeing my notebooks fill up a little faster. Focus, man. Focus!
