I have a friend who told me recently that it took her 14 years to read one particular book. She enjoyed it but kept getting side-tracked by other tempting reads. I have to admit, that’s quite a slow read.

Yep, it by far beats anything I can offer up. I don’t know how I would keep track of the storyline, for one thing, over so long a period of time.

So, what’s the longest time it’s taken you to read a book and what was your excuse for taking so long?
